NED lives!

Just got the results from my CT scan on Monday. Still NED! No cancer! I think we've proved who's boss here, Mr. Cancer. If that even is your real name...

Awesome news, Megan! How many years out are you? And nice work on getting mentioned in Newsweek! You should go out an buy yourself a lottery ticket. ;)

Hi cancer slayer! How are you? I'm officially 2 years, 2 months and 24 days out from the end of chemo, but who's counting? :-)

I should buy a lottery ticket! Everything is pretty good lately except for finances.(Did you know that if you're self-employed and have an individual insurance policy then there's no limit to how much they can raise your monthly premiums? Neither did I! Now my monthly premiums are like a second rent. Sigh.) So, winning the lottery would certainly save my bacon right about now.

How are you? How's your treatment? Where are you in the process?

Thanks for asking! I am nearly a year our from the end of chemo (Aug. 16th, but who's counting? ;) and will have my year follow-up CT scan on 9/3.

I'm doing pretty ok but would be doing a LOT better if not for the persistent neuropathy and bowel issues. Those physical reminders of my illness really take a mental toll.

The good news is that I'm seeing a therapist to work on stuff (and oh do I have plenty of stuff for us to work on).

Sorry to hear about your financial woes...I'm really hoping that Obama gets some legislation through that will keep our fellow cancer vets and other folks with chronic health issues out of bankruptcy. Show me a person against universal health care and I'll show you someone who's life hasn't been touched by cancer. [Yet.]

Glad to hear you're almost a year out. It's so nice to have that year mark.

I completely agree about the physical reminders. I think that's one of the hardest parts for me, too. It's like having the flu for 3 years. I just want to feel well again!

The neuropathy still gets me, but I can't say that my bowels have been that bad. My energy levels are still ridiculously low. I get exhausted if I even have a mildly busy week. Ah, well, with patience hopefully this too shall pass.

Hi Megan,

I too am a Stage III survivor of colorectal cancer. I was 34 years of age at diagnosis. After several visits over a 6 month period to docs, they found nothing wrong with me.
Finally, after 2 visits to ER and a diagnosis of the flu, they found it. Anyway, I finished chemo in November of 2007. I have a wonderful doc in Boston who I follow up with regularly.
Glad to hear you are doing well.
Take Care,

Hi Crystal!

God to hear from you and I'm glad you're doing well. Sounds like we were almost on parallel paths.

Be well!

Becca,

I don't think that was my photo (unless somebody formed a team for me without my knowledge). But now I'm curious to see them! Facebook friend me so I can see!

Can anyone recommend the well-priced Endpoint Security tool for a small IT service company like mine? Does anyone use Kaseya.com or GFI.com? How do they compare to these guys I found recently: N-able N-central script deployment
? What is your best take in cost vs performance among those three? I need a good advice please... Thanks in advance!

Good day, sun shines!
There have been times of hardship when I felt unhappy missing knowledge about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright stupid person.
I have never imagined that there weren't any need in large initial investment.
Now, I feel good, I started to get real income.
It's all about how to select a correct companion who uses your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, parts and divides the profit with me.

You can ask, if there are such firms? I have to answer the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:
